Kenya The country occupies a total surface area of 582,644 sq Kms and straddles the equator. It shares common borders with five nations – Tanzania to the South, Uganda to the West, Sudan & Ethiopia to the North and Somalia to the East. Within its borders, there are great variations in altitude and terrain from glacial ice to arid desert, mountain massifs to rich savannah, large lakes to forests.
